New Hurricanes halfback Samisoni Fisilau says he's back to full fitness and excited about the prospect of a Super Rugby debut.
The 25 year old spent five seasons with Counties Manakau and Northland in the New Zealand provincial championship before earning his first Super call-up.
The Ikale Tahi international will be competing with a fit-again TJ Perenara and Chris Smylie for time in the number nine jersey, a contest Fisilau is looking forward to.
"Good challenge for me and TJ and Chris Smylie but, at the same time, we learn off each other and it will be good for the team, that challenge for nine. My goal is just to get a start. I was going to play last week but give it another week."
The Hurricanes play their first competition match of the year against the Blues in Wellington this Saturday.
