Police in Tonga are urging the public to be more security conscious as they search for a suspect involved in an assault and robbery of a Chinese shop in 'Eua.
The Police Commissioner, Grant O'Fee, says no weapon was used but the woman shopkeeper received a blow and a cut to the face.
He says more than 5,000 US dollars was stolen from the store.
"Most of the Chinese shops are pretty secure, they are usually concrete block and with pretty secure doors because they have attractive goods in there, and are well aware of the risks involved. But on this occassion, my understanding is the woman opened the door, she heard a knock on the door and had no reason to suspect it, so the message is, as it is all around the world, just to be careful."
Grant O'Fee says the incident took place last week.
