North Korea has repeated threats to target United States military bases in Hawaii, Guam, and the mainland.
The country's High Command says its placing its long range artillery and strategic rocket forces on high alert.
North Korea is re-acting angrily to military exercises between the United States and South Korean forces as well as tougher sanctions imposed on it by the United Nations.
The North's KCNA news agency says the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army will be readying all field artillery units.
Its says they will target all enemy objects in United States invasionary bases on its mainland, Hawaii and Guam.
The Pentagon has condemned North Korea's rhetoric, saying it is designed to raise tensions and intimidate others.
