Sport: Fiji Warriors finding it tough in NZ

11:48 am on 28 March 2013

Fiji Warriors coach Inoke Male says the New Zealand leg of the Pacific Rugby Cup has been a distinct step up in quality.

The three time defending champions won all of their matches in Australia but were held to a draw against the Highlanders Development Team and thrashed 41-10 by the Blues Development team at the weekend.

The Warriors face the Hurricanes Development Team in Wanganui on Thursday afternoon and Inoke Male says they need to make better decisions.

"We gave away lots of penalties because the boys tried to play the ball within our half. This was our main downfall from a few games and we're trying to iron out this week, just trying to focus on analysing the game and what we need, so focus on our individual roles and how we manage to have our teamwork and discipline - that's all what we need."

Also on Thursday, Samoa A take on the Chiefs Development Team and Tonga A play the Crusader Knights.
