A Solomon Islands tourism promoter says more cruise ships should be invited into the country to boost tourism.
The head of Destination Solomons, Wilson Maelaua says tourists who arrive on cruise ships are able to see more of the country beyond the capital Honiara.
Mr Maelaua says port of calls for cruise ships should be arranged in the provinces.
He says Solomon Islanders will benefit from tourists visiting their shores because they will have the opportunity to showcase their cultural dances and sell their art, crafts and local food.
