The Fiji Sugar Corporation says the fixing of the new sugar price has been delayed because of the fluctuation in world prices.
The corporation's chair, Abdul Khan says it will not be able to have a new price of sugar for a couple of months.
He says until then the price will remain the same.
Fiji Live reports Mr Khan saying negotiations between the FSC and Tate and Lyle Sugar on a new sugar price are continuing.
