The inaugural winner of Solomon Islands' Businesswoman of the Year Award, Momi Kwaita, says her faith in God is the foundation of her success.
Mrs Kwaita owns and manages El Shaddai Cafe, which began as a fish and chip business 10 years ago in the capital, Honiara and has since expanded into bakery and catering services.
The mother of one also runs other companies with her husband and says although being in business is always difficult, she has had a lot of support.
"Our faith was the foundation of everything. It's the one that - what do I say - the faith in our God is the one that helps us to take those risks and make that stand in faith that there was a God who knew what was good for us and he would make it happen for us."
Momi Kwaita says her advice to other women combining running a business with raising a family is to delegate more tasks to others.
