After more than three years of litigation, the Honolulu shipyard Marisco Limited be paid for repairs it made to the American Samoa Government tugboat, the Sailele.

The Federal court judge Leslie Kobayashi approved a stipulated request from the ASG, Marisco and Bank of Hawaii to release funds of over 800,000 US dollars to Marisco.

The funds have been in the custody of the Honolulu federal court since late last year.

In their stipulated motion, the parties said they have entered into a settlement agreement resolving all claims in the dispute both in the local and federal courts.

The federal court has been asked to release the money to plaintiff Marsico Limited, without interest.
