American Samoa's governor, Lolo Matalasi Moliga, has called for unity in the territory as residents celebrate Flag Day.
This year marks the 113th year since the eastern islands of the Samoan group became part of the United States.
Today's celebration have involved a longboat, or fautasi race in the bay area with the official ceremony, including cultural displays, and the governor's address at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
