Vanuatu's Miller Elwin and Henriette Iatika have missed out on a place in the main draw of the Fuzhou Open beach volleyball tournament in China.
The Oceania champions were ranked third in the qualifying tournament but were beaten in three sets against Austria's Barbara Hansel and Katharina Schutzenhofer.
Vanuatu are attempting to qualify for the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Poland in July.
