Tokelau joins NZ Pacific Policing Programme

Tokelau Police have joined New Zealand's Partnership for Pacific Policing Programme.

The programme aims at building a safer and more secured Pacific Island Countries.

Tokelau has sixteen officers across its three islands.

Two New Zealand police representatives are in Tokelau to consult with local police and the community.

The programme will target three main activities, developing a strategic plan, promoting Pacific policing skills in Tokelau and improving community policing.
