The chairman of the Chengdu Exhibition and Travel Group, the organisation that wants to build a 4 thousand room casino and golf resort on Yap, in the Federated States of Micronesia, is being investigated for corruption in China.

The Marianas Variety reports the Sichuan property developer, Deng Hong, is being investigated by anti-corruption officials.

The newspaper says the billionaire was questioned in connection with an investigation into an allegedly corrupt mayor in December, but the businessman himself has now come under suspicion.
