Waitakere United football coach Paul Marshall says it will be a tough task for cross-town rivals Auckland City to win in Tahiti.
The defending champions Auckland have lost their last two matches and need a result in tomorrow's final group game against newcomers Dragon to confirm their place in the semi finals.
Vinnie Wylie compiled this report.
Waitakere are on a three-game winning streak, which started with a victory away to Dragon.
Coach Paul Marshall says it's a challenging environment to play in.
"We were successful on that particular day but if I'm being honest we didn't have the better of the game. We got the result that we wanted but Tahiti posed a lot of problems for us, on a very poor pitch, and I think Auckland City are going to face some of the similar problems that we had to but they will certainly be up for it I'm sure because they know it's D-day, do or die. If they don't win they're out and if they do they'll go through."
Waitakere have already qualified for the playoffs but can guarantee top spot in Group B with a win over Mont-Dore in Noumea.
Meanwhile Vanuatu champs Amicale FC need to beat Fiji's Ba by three goals or more to secure top spot in Group A.
The other game sees Hekari United seeking their first win at home to Solomon Warriors.
