Police in American Samoa have arrested the main suspect in relation to a string of 13 burglaries over the last four months.
Official charges are pending against the 22-year old suspect, Joseph Iakopo, who was taken into custody last Thursday.
He is due to appear in court this week.
The Police Commissioner, William Haleck, says the Mr Iakopa told Police he is a high school dropout who needed money.
Police estimate the value of the items stolen at 50 thousand US dollars.
Commissioner Haleck says police were able to recover a lot of the stolen items which are being returned to their owners.
