5:19 am on 21 May 2013

The US mining giant, Freeport McMoran, says three bodies were recovered by its emergency response team overnight at its Grasberg mine in Papua province.

38 workers were trapped when an underground tunnel, which is part of a training facility, collapsed following a landslide almost a week ago in the Indonesian province.

So far ten people have been rescued alive and 17 bodies recovered.

The company says 11 people are still unaccounted for and emergency teams will continue their operations later today.
