The American Samoa National Olympic Committee is banking on a strong partnership with the new government to further develop and train local athletes to play in regional and international games.
ASNOC president Victor Langkilde says that one of the lessons learned during a recent conference of Oceania NOCs is the need to work together with regional sporting organisations as well as one's own community and government.
He says the territorial government has already established certain programs focusing on training and development as well as health awareness and ASNOC will work alongside them.
