PNG police announce bounty for notorious prison escapees

Papua New Guinea Correctional Services Commissioner, Martin Balthasar has announced a 6,700 US dollar reward for the capture of two dangerous prisoners who escaped earlier this month.

Information leading to the arrest of notorious bank-robber William Kapris will be rewarded with 4,500 US dollars while 2,200 US dollars is on offer for information on his accomplice Raphael Walimini.

Mr Balthasar yesterday urged the general public to assist police capture the two dangerous escapees.

He says the two men are dangerous and notorious and need to be captured immediately.
