6:21 am on 1 June 2013

The Papua New Guinea Rugby League Federation has unanimously voted in a new board, with Don Fox retaining the chairmanship.

The sport had been plagued by infighting and court battles in recent years until the government intervened last November and appointed an interim administration.

The new board was elected to a three year term at Friday's Annual General Meeting in Lae, with Don Fox beating out former chair John Numapo for the top job.

Sandis Tsaka was voted in as the new Deputy Chairman, while the remaining board of directors have been retained.

An amended constitution was also passed.
