Inter Island Air has submitted its final offer to buy or lease the American Samoa government plane, Segaula.

Governor Lolo Moliga is scheduled to go over the proposal with airline President Barney Sene tomorrow in Honolulu.

The governor's office says Lolo is hopeful a deal will see the resumption of commercial flights to Ofu, and improve services to Ta'u island.

Inter Island air stopped flying to Ofu nearly five years ago saying the landing strip is not long enough.

Since then travellers to and from Ofu typically travel on the government aircraft or catch an alia boat ride to Ta'u then a flight to Tutuila.
