The Fiji Rugby Union is hopeful sevens player Nemani Nagusa will be able to leave the country on Wednesday after he was prevented from boarding a flight to Seoul with his teammates en route to the World Cup.

Immigration Officials at the Nadi International Airport were acting on a Stop Departure Order placed on Nagusa by the Sigatoka Magistrate's Court over a Family Action case.

However according to the Court, the 25 year old made all the required payments in March and there was no further order preventing him from travelling with the rest of the Fiji squad on Monday.

Court officials also claim the Immigration Department in Nadi failed to update their case records.

The Fiji Rugby Union's Operations Manager, Vilikesa Rinavuaka, says they expect Nagusa will be able to catch a new flight on Wednesday and discussions are ongoing with immigration officials as to who will cover the cost of the flight.
