The Vanuatu Rowing Club is hopeful that the country's World Cup debut will provide another boost to their membership.
Tom Pata will be the first of Vanuatu's three rowers out on the water tomorrow in the lightweight men's single sculls, with Kevin Hivird and Luigi Teilemb contest the lightweight men's pair on Monday.
Alan Kalfabun from the Vanuatu Rowing Club hopes that more people in Vanuatu will be inspired to pick up an oar after watching their countrymen compete in Korea.
"So far the club membership that we've had in the last 12 months or so, we had a club regatta last Saturday and it's good to see the change of mix: there's a lot more Ni-Vanuatu come on board with age ranges between 12 and up to 20/21. It's probably about 65 percent Ni-Vanuatu in terms of total membership."
