Fiji's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says no agreement has been made to host the Pacific Islands Forum Ministerial Contact Group this month.
Fiji Village reported the Forum Secretary General, Tuiloma Neroni Slade, announced the visit just after the new Pacific Islands Development Forum and its secretariat was announced in Nadi.
But the Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Amena Yauvoli, says no visit has been agreed.
Tuiloma says the Contact Group was planning to lodge its report at the Pacific Islands Forum in the Marshall Islands in early September.
He said Fiji had made significant developments in the past year.
