Vanuatu pair Miller Elwin and Henriette Iatika have been beaten in their first outing since coming ninth at the World Beach Volleyball Championships in Poland.
The duo are in Korea this week for an exhibition tournament in Ulsan.
After winning the opening set in their first match against Australia's Mowen sisters, the Melanesian pair went down 21:12, 12:21, 14:16.
Spain also proved too strong in their second match, taking the deciding third set 16-14.
