Lining up in the same heat, Palau's Dirngulbai Moreyna Misech completed the first length in 4th place before finishing in 1 minute 9.46 seconds, a few hundredths of a second outside her best.

Rezne Wong from the Northern Marianas managed to shave more than two and a half seconds off his qualifying time in the Men's 200m Breaststroke, setting his second personal best of the week with a time of 2.23.75 seconds.
