A multinational defence force exercise, the Pacific Partnership, is now in Solomon Islands.

The exercise includes defence force personnel from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Columbia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea.

The partnership has already provided medical and other assistance in Tonga, Samoa and Kiribati.

In Solomon Islands it aims to deliver two weeks of humanitarian assistance and help with disaster preparedness.

They will be working mostly in the north-western island groups with sites at Seghe, Munda, Gizo, Vella Lavella, and Choiseul, while there will also be services provided in the capital, Honiara.
