There are claims that the Papua New Guinea police investigation into the Rabaul Queen disaster has stalled.

The inter island ferry sank in February last year with at least 141 people losing their lives.

The chairman of the Rabaul Queen Disaster Legal Action Committee, Tommy Yep, has called on the police commissioner Tom Kulunga to speed up the criminal investigation into the disaster.

The Post Courier reports him saying the people responsible for the tragedy should face the full force of the law.

Mr Yep says he is ready, as the representative of the missing and survivors, to lay an official complaint at the Kokopo police station for and on behalf of them all.
