Vanuatu thrashed Samoa by seven wickets on the Sunshine Coast to take a big step towards qualifying for next week's East Asia-Pacific Under 19 Cricket final.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl, the Melanesians ripped through the Samoan batting order.
No player made it into double figures with extras making up more than half of Samoa's paltry total of 51.
In reply, Vanuatu openers Ronald Tari and Malon Tastuki laid the platform with an opening partnership of 43 runs before eventually reaching their target in the 15th over.
Vanuatu and Samoa will meet again on Friday after their first match was abandoned on Monday.
