Tahitian surfer Michel Bourez has been knocked out of the Hurley Pro event in California in the semi finals.
The 27 year-old had a comfortable win over South Africa's Travis Logie in the quarter finals but came up short against Australia's Julian Wilson, with a best wave of 6.93 for a total score of 12.43, well short of Wilson's 17.40.
Another Australian, Taj Burrow, went on to win the event.
