The term of Fiji's Commissioner of Police, Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua has expired.
Fiji Village reports that the expiry of the Police Commissioner's contract will be dealt with under the 2013 Constitution after the Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama returns from New York.
Under the constitution, the Constitution Offices Commission recommends the appointment of the Commissioner to the President.
