A Marshall Islands businessman, whose trial for attempted murder has been repeatedly rescheduled since 2011, is now awaiting another trial for sexual assault.

Huang Peishu, who runs a retail and taxi business in Majuro, has been remanded in custody until his trial for attempted murder next month.

At a preliminary hearing earlier in the week Judge James Plasman decided there was good cause for a trial on a first-degree sexual assault charge against Huang.

Judge Plasman said the trial for sexual assault would be held after the trial for the attempted murder case was complete.
