Fiji rugby coach Inoke Male says next month's European tour is an important chance to boost their world ranking and build upon a successful 2013 season.
The Flying Fijians won their first ever Pacific Nations Cup title in June, after beating Pacific rivals Tonga in a winner takes all clash.
The 'Ikale Tahi are still two places above them on the IRB rankings and have tier one tests against France and Wales to look forward to next month.
By comparison Fiji will play minnows Portugal and Romania, either side of a test in Italy, but Inoke Male says they can only beat who is put in front of them.
"It doesn't matter if it's not a tier one -November tour we have to win these games to be able to lift our ranking and that will boost the IRB's funding for the next world cup. That's more important to us."
Inoke Male and the Fiji based team members leave Nadi later today en route to Europe.
