In American Samoa, a man who set the Starkist warehouse on fire saying he thought it would keep his wife at home has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Earlier this year, the defendant was sentenced in the District Court for misdemeanor property damage after he got drunk and punched out a window at his wife's workplace.

He set the Starkist warehouse on fire a few months afterwards, after drinking alcohol.

He also burned his wife's personal effects.

The court sentenced the father of five to concurrent five-year sentences for arson in the second degree and property damage.
