Samoa's suspended assistant police commissioner Seaga Uili Lafaele is continuing to give evidence in court over allegations raised against him.
The public and media are excluded from attending these hearings for the Commission of Inquiry investigating allegations of abuse and misuse of power at Tafaigata prison.
However a release from the commission says the wife of the suspended senior officer, Susi Lafaele, has testified regarding allegations against the top prison officials.
Evidence is being heard from former and current prisoners as well as other prison officers.
The commission has also heard evidence from a former prison officer who was terminated as a result of an incident last year in which a mentally ill New Zealand man Hans Dalton was found dead in a prison cell.
A police constable who was also on duty at the time has been testified in relation to the same incident.
