Sport: Toa Samoa expecting fierce French challenge

10:06 am on 12 November 2013

Toa Samoa are in enemy territory for their final Rugby League World Cup group match against France in Perpignan on Tuesday.

Both teams have recorded a win over Papua New Guinea and a loss against New Zealand so far in the tournament.

The winner of today's game will take on Fiji in the fourth quarter final on Monday while the loser will face England a day earlier.

Toa centre Junior Sau is expecting a fired up home side.

"They get behind their team in France so we've got another task. Most of the boys haven't played them - I've played them when I was playing for New Zealand. They come out pretty strong - obviously they've got some passionate players that want to play for their country so it's all about believing in yourself and knowing that we can do the job."
