Bird strike cancels Hawaiian Air flight from American Samoa to Honolulu

8:10 am on 13 November 2013

A bird strike has been blamed for the cancellation of last night's Hawaiian Air flight from American Samoa's Pago Pago to Honolulu.

Passengers were told about half an hour before the scheduled 11pm departure time that the flight was cancelled due to a bird strike.

No other information was given.

Passengers say they were not given any information as to when the flight would leave for Honolulu.

Hawaiian Air has only two weekly flights between Honolulu and Pago pago.
