Samoa's former Commissioner of Fire and Rescue Services Authority is being kept in police custody before an appearance for sentencing this week.

Tony Hills was found guilty of indecently assaulting a female officer.

The offence took place during Hills' time as commissioner, and police investigated after staff allegations against him.

He was dismissed earlier this year after the Ombudsman investigated the complaints.
