Dozens more Tupou College students facing the courts in Tonga

5:32 am on 20 November 2013

About 50 students from Tonga's Tupou College appeared in the Magistrate's Court in Nuku'alofa yesterday for a preliminary inquiry over trespassing, riotous assembly, criminal conspiracy and wilful damage charges.

It follows an attack on house in Tofoa in July which left two people associated with Tonga College in hospital.

Radio Tonga says the group is to appear again in the second week of February next year.

On Monday 40 students went through a similar process and several dozen more will be before the magistrate today.
