A Samoan woman is facing serious charges over the death of her new born baby.
26 year-old Seuta'atia Talata'ina was first charged with infanticide after the death of the new born a month ago.
She is now facing two charges - one of failing in her duties as a parent to provide the necessities of life, and one count of abandoning a child under six years of age.
Both charges carry jail terms of up to seven years under the new Crimes Act.
Ms Talata'ina is due in court in two weeks.
