The Fiji Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama says a new retail outlet, the Tappoo City building in Lautoka, will be a big boost for the city.

Commodore Bainimarama was the chief guest at the ground breaking ceremony of Tappoo City in Lautoka on Wednesday.

The Fiji Village website reports Frank Bainimarama say Tappoo City has already provided a world class shopping experience in Suva, and will do the same in coming to Lautoka.

The Tappoo Group executive chairman, Kanti Tappoo says they are grateful for the Government's desire to promote local investment as much as possible.

The new project is estimated to be an investment of over 10 million US dollars by the Tappoo Group.
