6:42 am on 25 November 2013

The Nauru government says 20 children in the Australian run asylum seeker camps on the island had their first week of classes at Nauru College lask week and more are due to begin classes this week.

The government newsletter says the students are integrating well in, and out of, class room.

There are now 637 asylum seekers being held in the camps, with most members of family groups.

The first two accommodation blocks rebuilt after riots in July are now ready for occupation.

For the past four months the camp inmates have been living in tents.
