The Governor of Milne Bay in Papua New Guinea says he is concerned confidential information is being leaked from the Government.
Titus Philemon says it's a national security threat that government documents are available to ordinary people on the street.
He did not name any colleagues but said he was disappointed that some were selling information, and there is little confidentiality left.
Mr Philemon says the country's rich resources need to be protected and the only way is to increase security of information.
He says he commends the Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, for engaging the Israeli Government to assist in surveillance training and beefing up the National Intelligence Organisation.
