Fiji court finds Driti guilty of inciting mutiny

A former Fiji Land Force Commander, Pita Driti, has been found guilty of inciting mutiny.

High Court judge, Justice Paul Madigan's decision overturns that of the three assessors on the case.

It was alleged the former land force commander was involved in a plot to overthrow the Bainimarama government in 2010 and kill the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum by Christmas of the same year.

Driti has been remanded in custody and is to be sentenced on December the tenth.
