Papua New Guinea coach Annie Iamo is happy to claim the favourites tag in the Nations Cup netball tournament, which begins in Singapore tomorrow.
The Pepes are the highest ranked team at the tournament at 17th in the world, above the USA, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the Republic of Ireland and Uganda.
Just five players have been retained from the squad that finished second at the Pacific Series in June, with three players from the national Under 21 team among the new faces.
Annie Iamo is looking forward to testing her side against a wide range of opposition.
"This is a really I think good challenge to be able to play other teams who have different styles of play apart from the Pacific teams we usually play in the Pacific Series. I think we are the highest ranked in this tournament so the pressure is going to be on us to do well. I want the team to come first and I'm confident that we will be able to do that."
PNG's open their campaign against Sri Lanka.
