Sport: Fiji Bati top Pacific side in rugby league rankings

Fiji have risen to fifth in the rugby league World Rankings following their semi final finish at the World Cup.

The Bati, who also made the semi finals of the 2008 World Cup, have climbed two places in the rankings, overtaking Wales and Papua New Guinea.

Australia cemented their status as the world's best team after winning Sunday's grand final against the Kiwis.

New Zealand, England and France remain in positions two to four.

The Kumuls are the next best place Pacific nation at seventh, with Samoa eighth, Tonga 13th and the Cook Islands 14th.
