About 130 people in the Northern Marianas have been dropped from the list of food stamp recipients.
The Nutrition Assistance Program removed them after some of them didn't show any interest in looking for a job or didn't show up for an interview.
The move is temporary.
Non-compliant food stamp recipients are normally taken off the list for 30 days to help reduce dependence on the programme and help promote self-sufficiency.
