Papua New Guinea will welcome another 11 Australia Federal Police tomorrow to take the total deployment under a new aid scheme to 50.

Deputy police commissioner, Simon Kauba, says the Royal PNG Constabulary is looking forward to working with the AFP.

The enhanced relationship aims to develop the capacity of the PNG force to provide sustainable and quality policing.

The AFP officers, who will be based in Port Moresby and Lae, are to work as mentors to their PNG counterparts.
