The Wellington Phoenix coach, Ernie Merrick, is pleased with the performance of his new signing, Fiji born striker Roy Krishna, in his first A-League appearance for the club.
The former Auckland City striker came off the bench in last night's 1-all draw with the Central Coast Mariners in Wellington.
Merrick likes what he's seen from Krishna in just his first week at the club.
"Very happy with Roy he has been terrific at training, scoring goals and fitting in with the boys really well. He has just been exhausted, playing virtually every game for 90 minutes, playing quality football and I thought at the end he tried to take two touches when he could have taken one touch to finish at that, but am very happy with Roy."
Ernie Merrick's side is second from bottom on the A-League table after last night's result.
