Sport: Fiji striker settling into life in the A-League

Fiji striker Roy Krishna says he's been made to feel welcome at new club Wellington Phoenix but believes his on-field performance is still a work in progress.

The 26 year old was last month signed as an injury replacement for Paul Ifill and became the first Fijian to play in the A-League on debut against Central Coast Mariners.

He has chalked up three substitute appearances so far and says the adjustment to full-time professional is on-going.

"Well I can say I'm still working on it. It's totally different from the last league I've been through and there's a lot of work to be done. I'm happy at the moment, I'm doing well, I can see coaches are giving some good positive results so we'll see. Obviously I'm a striker [and] I want to get a goal. It's hard to come off the bench and get momentum. Now I have to keep working hard and try my hardest in training and hopefully I will get a start".
