Vanuatu has farewelled 652 students who have been awarded government scholarships for overseas study.
The students are to attend universities in Australia, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Fiji.
652 scholarships are believed to be the highest number ever awarded in Vanuatu.
In a public farewell the prime minister Moana Carcasses says it is his government's priority to invest in the students to help the country towards prosperity.
