Sport: Fiji's Nemani Nadolo happy to be in Crusaders country

Flying Fijians winger Nemani Nadolo has touched down in Christchurch, ahead of the start of the new Super Rugby season, eager to make his mark on both his new teammates and the Fiji selectors.

The 26 year old began his career in Australia and was previously a part of the Waratahs squad but never made it onto the field.

Nadolo has since enjoyed stints in France, England and Japan and says he's hopeful of making a bigger impact on Super Rugby the second time around.

"Crusaders it just speaks for itself. To me they're the most prestigious club in world rugby and to be a part of this great franchise was something I couldn't say no to and also just learning, the exposure, was a massive thing. It's not about the money you know - I could have stayed in Japan for that. This is definitely an opportunity for me to press claim and hopefully push for higher honours with more test appearances for Fiji."

Nemani Nadolo will sit out the first weeks of competition as he gets up to speed with his new team but will be in the stands as the Crusaders host the defending champion Chiefs on Friday.
